Happy Thanksgiving!!!

At this time of year, when things slow down (a little), I can take the time to reflect on all of my wedding couples for the year, all the vendors I have the opportunity to work with and all the friends I have made through this wonderful career. I am so thankful for each and every one of you.So Thank you, Thank you, Thank you! Have a great Thanksgiving.  :)

It's all Greek to me...(with a little southern thrown in)

I recently had the pleasure of working with a Greek groom and a southern bride on their very opulent wedding reception.
I loved seeing the little details they each pulled from their respective cultures. I think the end results were amazing...

The bride loved gardenias and wanted to see them used liberally throughout the disign. Check out the individual gardenia topping each guests favor. The room smelled very exotic.

Bloomsters did a beautiful job with the event decor!

And we had great fun putting the Greek pastry table together.

Thanks to Bloomsters and Elite Entertainment for their help in creating this amazing event!

FALLing in love....

I LOVE fall! It is my favorite time for weddings, there is just so much variety and so many options for decor.
Country, cozy or changing colors, I love it all!

Check out this hot drinks station to get the guests all cozy.

And these cute outfits for a country wedding.

And let's not forget pumpkins!

I love fall weddings... Did I mention that?

We're off on an adventure...

So, I don't think I am supposed to have favorites, it's not fair to all the others after all but those who know me will understand that I was so excited for today's wedding I almost pee'd my pants!!!
I am a self confessed book nerd and I found a kindred spirit with today's B&G.
Check out this book lovers dream...
Every table was named after an author loved by the bride and groom, with a book or two and a couple of quotes by said authors. There was no map or number system so to find their table guests had to go around and read the quotes. Who doesn't love a bit of light reading at a wedding?!?!

Books everywhere...

The favors were little goodie bags with tea and cookies, the perfect treat to curl up with a good book.

And then there was the cake... And what a cake!!!

I loved every detail of this wedding but most of all I loved working with the bride and groom who were so sweet.
Look at the groom and groomsmen in their "shire-attire" . Love love loved it!

Puppy love!

I know, I know, two posts in one weekend but tonight's wedding was just too darn cute to hold onto.
Angelica and Justin have a small amount of love for their Dachshund doggies and wanted to include them in the wedding. Short of having the pups carry the rings down the aisle ( which apparently the Catholic Church frown upon) 😕 the bride and groom decided to use this as their theme.
Check out all these adorable doggie details.

Congratulations, Jelli and Justin!!!

Groom of the month!!!...at least

The groom from today's wedding just blew me away. After his (now) wife got overwhelmed with school in the months leading up to the big day, he took on the task of the decorations. They had decided to do all the decor themselves, including flowers. Now, usually this is not something I would recommend as flowers are no mean feat, what with their being a perishable item with a short lifespan, so they have to be handled within a few days of the wedding.
Not to be deterred by such details, the bride and grooms answer, paper and fabric flowers!
This in itself sounds like a monumentous task but these pictures show how well the groom did. (He looked it up on YouTube). Take note future grooms!
He made all the bouquets, including the toss bouquet, all the boutonnières, wrist corsages and even this adorable flower girl basket.
Every centerpiece was beautifully, individually designed.
I even loved the seating chart and sign in table, with a bible for the guests to sign!
So, florists, don't go hanging up your shears yet, but you got some competition!!!

Congrats Dan and Veronica!!!

A Touch of Elegance

This post is dedicated to a fantastic florist  that I had the pleasure of working with this past weekend. Great vendors can make the difference between "nice" and "amazing!". Katelyn of #lost&founddesign made the difference.
The details in the decor really shone, from the gold dipped candle holders to the tiny succulents peaking out between flowers.
The effort that went in to even decorating the card box and gift table was astounding. No detail was overlooked.
What a cute way to display and label the corsages and boutonnières. Even though it's only the bridal party that see's this, the same meticulous styling was evident.

Katelyn also did s great job of decorating the yummy cake which was provided by the ever talented #cakeexpressions.

And finally, credit must be given to all the other beautiful decor provided by our gorgeous bride Kelly!

Congratulations Kelly and Alden!

Mint to be.....

Love the ceiling treatment. Very fitting for such a glamorous bride.

A little tutu for the cake table, just too too cute! (I know, I know, but I can't resist a bad joke!)

White with little hints of mint are such a fresh way to use this color. It goes a long way so the flowers, napkins and table names are enough to really make a statement.

You gotta love a thoughtful bride, the guests all danced the night away, with happy toes!

Congratulations Desiray and Silvestre!
